Apply for or renew a permit
You can apply and pay for your permit online. Once you have done this it will be posted to you via first class post.
Please apply at least seven days before the start date you require for your permit, this allows time for the permit to be processed and posted.
The permit will allow you to park in most of the Council's long stay car parks and offers good value for money.
Permits are valid Monday to Sunday and can be used in the following car parks:
|Brighouse||Daisy Street, Owler Ings Road, Commercial Street, Parsonage Lane and Bethel Street.|
|Elland||Brook Street, Northgate, Southgate, Timber Street, Coronation Street and Boxhall Road.|
|Halifax||Cow Green, Crosshills, Hanover Street, King Street, North Bridge, Prescott Street, The Shay Stadium, Union Street and Victoria Street.|
|Hebden Bridge||Garden Street, Market Place and New Road.|
|Sowerby Bridge||Stanley Street, Tuel Lane and West Street.|
|Todmorden||Halifax Road, Lever Street, Union Street South, School Lane and Bramsche Square.|
The permits can also be used in most on street long stay pay and display parking bays in Halifax, Skircoat and Hebden Bridge. For more details, see:

A contract permit can be purchased to be used solely in the Skircoat area.
The permit is valid on the following streets:
- Dudwell Lane*;
- Lawrence Road;
- Skircoat Green;
- Skircoat Green Road; and
- Stafford Road

Change of vehicle and courtesy cars
If your vehicle changes, you must notify Parking Services immediately. You can do this online via Permit applications and payments or phone: 01422 392171. You will be asked for your new vehicle details, including make, model and registration number. Note: When changing your vehicle a new permit will only be issued once you have returned your old permit.
The permit does not guarantee, nor does it reserve, a space in any of the Council's car parks. However, there is an area reserved solely for Contract permit holders in High Street car park, Halifax.
