East Coast Story 2018

In 2015 Anna Chilvers walked from St Abbs in Scotland to Ely in Cambridgeshire, a total of 500 miles, in the footsteps of 7th Century princess, St Etheldreda.

Anna has since used this experience as the basis of a novel.

In this illustrated talk Anna will talk about some of her experiences, and how she has used them to help create fiction. She will also read extracts from the completed novel.

Anna Chilvers’s novels Tainted Love (2016) and Falling Through Clouds (2010) are published by Bluemoose Books.

Legging It (Pennine Prospects, 2012), a collection of short stories, was inspired by movement through the landscape.

Anna teaches writing classes and is a writing mentor. She is currently beginning a PhD in novel writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
