The beautiful Yorkshire countryside is dotted with many interesting and often bizarre follies. These and their fascinating origins are explored in this engaging talk, together with some of the “characters” the county has spawned over the centuries.

From humble beginnings in Halifax, these include the rather eccentric Percy Shaw, who went on to invent the Catseye reflective road stud.
