Jerusalem Farm and Wade Wood

Jerusalem Farm and Wade Wood includes 13 hectares of nature reserve, which the Calderdale Way passes by.

There are permissive paths through the woodland. Access to the woods from the car park is via a steep grass track.

The camp site is located near Booth Village, just to the North of Luddenden.

What to see

Wade Wood and the surrounding landscape is home to a variety of woodland birds, such as:

  • Nuthatches;
  • Tree Creepers;
  • Goldfinch;
  • Robins;
  • and Woodpeckers.

Quiet visitors may also catch a sight of deer!

The site has a wide variety of woodland fungi in the Autumn months.

It is also known for the midges, on Summer evenings, so do not forget the midge repellent!

Campsite and holiday cottage

Jerusalem Farm offers a campsite with pitches for around 30 tents. It also has an holiday cottage, which can accommodate up to 6 people.

Jerusalem Farm facilities and opening hours

  • Car park - closed at dusk (closing times vary throughout the year, see signs on site).
  • Toilets - open everyday (may be closed in cold weather).
