Jerusalem Farm and Wade Wood

Jerusalem Farm and Wade Wood include 13 hectares of nature reserve, which the Calderdale Way passes by.

There are paths you can use in the woodland. Please note: Access to the woods from the car park is by a steep grass track.

The campsite is near Booth village, just north of Luddenden.

What to see

Wade Wood and the landscape around it, is home to a variety of woodland birds, such as:

  • Nuthatches;
  • Tree Creepers;
  • Goldfinch;
  • Robins;
  • and Woodpeckers.

Quiet visitors may also catch a sight of deer!

The site has a wide variety of woodland fungi in the autumn months.

It is known for midges on summer evenings, so do not forget the midge repellent!

Local schools often use Jerusalem Farm as an outdoor classroom. The Council's Countryside team runs environment education workshops.

Campsite and holiday cottage

Jerusalem Farm offers a campsite with pitches for around 30 tents. It also has an holiday cottage that can sleep up to 6 people.

Jerusalem Farm facilities and opening hours

  • Car park - closed at dusk (closing times vary throughout the year, see signs on site).
  • Toilets - open everyday (may be closed in cold weather).
