Work to improve the resilience of Mytholmroyd Library will begin on Monday 29 January. It will be necessary to close the library to allow these works to take place and the closure is scheduled to last four weeks.
The works taking place will improve the flood resilience of the library and enable it to be better used as a flood hub if necessary. Work is taking place to strengthen the upper floor of the building and upgrade IT connectivity during flood hub situations.
During the closure, library stock and PCs will be protected but remain on site. Some work will continue for a further four weeks after it reopens, which could cause some noise disruption for customers.
