Welcome to the Active Calderdale Bike Library, a new project supported by Yorkshire Bank to offer donated bikes to loan to children and families in the community, helping to achieve our vision for Calderdale to be the most Active Borough in the North of England by 2021.
In collaboration with West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service and Calderdale Council the Active Calderdale Bike Library was officially opened on 18 April 2017 by the Mayor of Calderdale at Halifax Fire Station.
The Bike Library is now open for donations and loans every Saturday from 12-2pm at Halifax Fire Station, Spring Edge W, Halifax HX1 3JF.

Borrow a Bike
Bikes are available to any Calderdale resident to loan for free for 1 month following completion of a loan agreement. We will offer advice on bike maintenance, cycle training courses and cycle routes and you will receive a loan pack with your bike. We also ask you to record the number of miles completed on your loan bike during the month.
Contact: email@example.com to book a bike.
Donate a Bike
Do you have a bike that you want to donate? We accept all bikes which we will repair and recycle to find a new home in the community. With so many benefits of donating a bike, we will be giving opportunities to children and adults to learn how to ride, getting involved with cycling activities, as well as improving fitness and wellbeing and helping Calderdale become the most active Borough in the North.
