Play Development Service

The Play Development Service provides free open access inclusive play sessions for children and young people aged 5-14 years old across Calderdale in the communities where they live.

Children and young people with disabilities or special needs are particularly welcome, but are required to book on so that their particular needs can be met.

Further information

We operate on an open access basis which means that although children and young people are supervised, they remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian and are free to come and go as they please.

We provide a wide variety of free play activities that are chosen by children and young people; these can sometimes get messy, so please come in clothes that are appropriate for the activities and weather.
