Upper Valley Forum

The Council’s Neighbourhoods Team is an exciting initiative to help target services. This is by tackling a variety of issues raised by local residents and responding to local community concerns.

The Upper Valley Neighbourhood Team covers Calder, Luddendenfoot, Ryburn and Todmorden Wards.

The team acts as a link between the Council, local people, voluntary and community organisations and our partner agencies.

In the Upper Valley Team there are two Neighbourhood Coordinators (Jae Campbell and Kirsten Fussing). There are also two Community Wardens (Simon Bokowiec and Zoe Davis).

Jae looks after Luddendenfoot and Calder Wards,) and Kirsten looks after Todmorden and Ryburn Wards.

Simon and Zoe work closely with the Upper Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team. This covers issues like crime prevention, graffiti, dog fouling and supporting local community initiatives.

Issues recently raised

At each ward forum meeting there is an item on the agenda where residents can raise matters of local concern. This is the "Open Forum". If questions cannot be answered at meetings, we will take them away for colleagues and partners to answers. An information sheet is then produced ("You asked") for the following Ward Forum meeting. This will have the answers to those questions raised at the earlier forum. If it matters to you, it matters to us!
