It is important children and young people understand the importance of preparing for emergencies. If a child is affected by an emergency, they are more likely to respond well and get to safety, if they have thought about what to do before an incident occurs.
The Emergency Planning Team has developed a Children’s Pack. This contains activities to encourage children to become more prepared and develop an understanding of what to do in emergency situations. Print this pack off and have a go at the activities: Children's Activity Pack [PDF 2163KB]
If you want hard copies of the Children’s Activity Pack, for use in educational settings, contact: Council's emergency planning .
