A General Election is to be held on Thursday 8th June 2017.
You need to be on the electoral register to be able to vote.
It is too late to register to vote in the General Election on 8th June 2017. You can still register for future elections.
If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to submit another application. You will get a Poll Card around the middle of May, through the post.

Note: To be able to vote in the coming election, your form must be received by one of these deadlines:
- for Postal voting, by 5pm on Tuesday 23rd May.
- for Proxy voting, by 5pm on Wednesday 31st May.
- changing from postal voting to proxy voting, by 5pm on Tuesday 23rd May.
The Poll will open at 7am and close at 10pm on Thursday 8th June 2017 (the vote counting will immediately follow this).
The election results will be published following the conclusion of the count.
Candidate details will be published on this website, after 5pm on Thursday 11th May 2017.
Note: Electoral services have no information regarding candidates, other than what is published on the 'Statement of persons nominated'.
