To begin reporting a road or pavement defect, first find the location.
Please note, we don't maintain unadopted roads (indicated in the search results as a 'Unadopted'). For more information, please visit: Road adoption.
If you are currently at the location of the defect you can use your current position by pressing the "Use current location" button.
If you know the exact location, enter the post code or property address (for example, 1 High Street) into the search field and click Search or
if you know the street but not the exact location, enter the name of the street into the search field and click Search.

The location is on a DUAL STATUS road. We may not deal with it as the Council can only deal with the adopted section of the road.
The location is on an UNADOPTED road so the Council cannot deal with it.
Press Next and a form will be displayed where you can enter details about the problem.

We will normally attend a road or pavement defect within five working days.
An email will be sent to martine.proctor@calderdale.gov.uk with a reference number confirming your report.
