Calderdale 2018/19 Budget and 2024 Vision consultation
Section A: Calderdale Council 2018/19 to 2020/21 Budget
On Monday 15 January 2018 Calderdale Council's Cabinet met and agreed its budget plans to 2020/21.
The budget sets out how much money is available for the Council to deliver its priorities and services over the next three years, and how that money will be spent. On top of the savings plans already in place, the Council has to reduce expenditure by a further £2.6m in 2018/19 and £8m from 2019/20 onwards. This will mean making difficult decisions on how to deliver services with less money, so we need your help.
This public consultation on the proposed budget will continue until 12 February. Following the consultation the final budget report will go to full Council for approval on 26 February.
The link below includes the following background information about the budget: - Details about the budget proposals and our current priorities - Equality Impact Assessments: each proposal has to be assessed against the impact on certain groups of people protected under the Equality Act 2010
Before answering the questions below please read more about the budget here :

Section B: Now looking to the future....Calderdale's Vision for 2024
On 01 April 2024, Calderdale will be 50 years old. Calderdale Council is starting some work to develop its vision for 2024. We think this is important because especially in uncertain times, it’s important that we can tell people why Calderdale is a unique and great place to live, work and do business - now and in the future. This vision will help to us get more investment for Calderdale and shape our plans for the future.
But our vision has to be real, based on a genuine knowledge and understanding of the hopes and fears of the people that live here. So we would like to hear from you.
How do you see Calderdale in the future?
Thinking about Calderdale and where you live, what kind of a place do you want it be? (When answering the following questions please think about your environment, your family and friends, services and facilities)
