This is a charity that provides information, advice and support to people with cancer and their families. It offers a national helpline and also hosts an online community. You can join forums, blogs, groups and chat rooms to share experiences with other people affected by cancer.

There is a range of information and advice on the website, including publications, resources and factsheets available to order. You can find out about causes and risk factors, tests and screening, cancer types, treatments, living with cancer, caring for someone with cancer and end of life support.

You can get specialist financial advice and support about benefits, tax credits, grants and loans. Macmillan offers grants to help meet the cost of practical needs such as heating bills, transport to and from hospital, and short breaks.

The charity organises courses which support people living with cancer to look after themselves and manage their condition.
