This is the local branch of a national charity which offers emotional support to people in distress. You can talk to a volunteer on the telephone, face to face, by email or by letter. A volunteer will listen to you in complete confidence and with an open mind. You will be given time and space to think through problems or difficulties. You will not be told what to do or given advice.

People contact Samaritans for many reasons, including relationship and family problems, bereavement, redundancy, financial worries, stress at work, and stress at college or university. You do not have to be suicidal to contact Samaritans.

If you need to arrange a face to face meeting, please ring the local branch for opening times.
