Hope Resource Centre
Hope Street

Web: See external link policy

This is a community resource centre which offers a wide range of courses and activities for people with physical and learning disabilities. You can get support to develop your existing skills and learn new ones.

Sessions in computer skills, cooking, gardening, and arts and crafts are available. You can learn in a small group or one-to-one.

The facilities include a fully equipped and accessible kitchen. Scope also shares a community allotment with local primary schools, the allotment association and the youth offending team.

Founded in 1953, Scope is a national disability organisation whose customer emphasis is children and adults, originally with a focus on cerebral palsy, but now with a pan- disability remit. Scope's purpose is to change society - to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Scope Aspire has provided a range of services across Calderdale for over 25 years. We are regulated by CQC and hold a number of nationally recognised charter marks. We see the person not the disability and Aspire to ensure the customer is at the heart of our service provision.
