This service provides simple pieces of equipment that enable you to stay safe, independent and living in your own home. Telecare can make a real difference to your quality of life and provides support and reassurance for your family and carers.

Telecare equipment can be used in conjunction with the Careline alarm service. This means that some types of equipment can be set up to call, or send an automatic alert to, the 24 hour response centre.

There are a variety of detectors, sensors and alarms available, including: falls detectors; bed and chair occupancy sensors; smoke alarms; carbon monoxide detectors; bogus caller buttons; gas detectors and gas shut off valves; automatic medication reminders and medication dispensers; enuresis sensors; epilepsy sensors; flood detectors and Magi-plugs for baths and sinks; low/high temperature sensors; heat detectors; motion sensors; property exit sensors; portable telecare alarms and pagers for carers; MyLife X10 equipment to switch lights and other devices on and off.
