Enhancing the quality of life for stroke survivors and adults with physical disabilities

Heath Stroke Club provides a community based day service for stroke survivors and people with physical disabilities, offering a range of person centred services including a mixture of both building and community based support to encourage individuals to live an active and fulfilled life.

The Club is a registered charity.

We can help you to:
* Increase physical strength and mobility
* Increase confidence and self esteem
* Develop communication by all available methods both verbal and non-verbal
* Increase motivation
* Use rehabilitation and relearning skills to overcome physical and cognitive impairments and reduce the need for intensive care packages
* Overcome social isolation
* Build new social networks
* Provide carer respite
* Reduce the risk of depression and anxiety
* Raise awareness of factors which contribute to health issues e.g. diet, smoking
* Maximise independence
* Have fun and live an active and fulfilled life

Services include:
* Day Care (Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm)
* Activity Sessions (Monday to Friday): including
<> Pamper Sessions (relaxation, foot spas, hand massage and manicures)
<> Exercise and wellbeing sessions (physical activity and information & advice about promoting healthy living)
<> Group speech therapy (from a group session delivered by a speech and language therapist, with the option of purchasing additional support privately
* Half Days (including a lunchtime session and either the day service or activity sessions for a morning or afternoon) (Monday to Friday: 10.00am - 1.45pm and 12.15pm to 4.00pm)
* Lunch Sessions (12.15pm - 1.45pm)
* Outreach Service (available up to 7 days a week)

We can manage your ISF to get a flexible service tailored to meet your needs, looking at alternative providers and activities available in your area to ensure you get value for money, with ongoing support and reviews.
