Walking ideas in Calderdale
Are you trying to think of ways to build more walking in to your daily routine? Here are some ideas:
- Walk the children to school or park further away from the school - walking is good for them too!
- Park and Stride: If you have to drive to work, park further away and walk the rest of the journey. It is cheaper to park further away from the centre. If you live 1 or 2 miles from your work place, walk it. This should only take 20 - 40 minutes. Find people from your local area to walk with. It is a great way to get to know them.
- Use the stairs instead of lifts or escalators.
- Walk to talk to someone at work, rather than using the phone or email.
