Subscriptions are now £15 p/a, £5 for under 18's and free for under 10 year olds. Only one fee of £15 is asked for from a family, though larger donations are welcome.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month from 7 pm. The latest to be at the meeting is 7.15pm, when the introduction of the speaker starts. The speaker is now introduced before the business of the month, and we can stay in the room till 9.15pm, which means we have time for socialising.
Some of our walks are labelled "Ambles" in our programme, and these are more suitable to families with very young children than the longer "Rambles" and "Hikes". Rambles are all day, looking for interesting things in the natural world, often with frequent stops. Hikes are longer and have fewer stops, though enough for taking refreshment.
Start times are usually 10.30am for 10.40am and many of them take place on a Saturday.
