Full description:
Canal aqueduct. c1798. For the Rochdale Canal Company. Coursed squared stone. Aqueduct carries canal and a C20 pavement, which replaces the original towing path, over Luddenden Brook. 3 low segmental arches carried on rounded piers. Band. Walling above has 4 pilaster buttresses and band below parapet with chamfered coping, raised slightly above buttresses. Wall curves around on north-east side and has flat coping.
