Active Fun Centre (HX2 8DB)

Description: Large, clean soft play gym, interactive equipment, rope bridge, 2 slides, 3 ball pools, toddler area and ball pool, café area, multisensory room, changing room with profiling bed and hoist, large car park. Registered with CQC and Ofsted to provide care across a range of settings. Childcare available at weekends and during school holidays at our soft play gym. Telephone for enquiries. Children's parties £100 for exclusive use of the soft play gym (2hours), party pack (optional) £1; kitchen uses multisensory room hire available. ALS Support Ltd (HX3 6DY)

Description: Provides a quality one to one support service for people with learning and physical disabilities. The Tandem Club is a Social club for young adults (17+) with learning disabilities on Thursday evenings 7pm - 9pm.

Artful Stars (HX4 8NN)

Description: Inclusive creative art sessions for children aged 5-13 run by a trained mixed media and mural artist. During the sessions the children use various materials, methods and tools to experience drawing, painting, printing, collage, textiles, and 3-D projects. They also explore outdoor art, in a secure garden, in all seasons!

Description: The Children's Centre strives to deliver high quality care and education across the community, respecting the needs of individual family units. The centre is community driven and works in partnership with a wide range of individuals, schools and agencies to provide a one-stop shop to health, adult learning, childcare and early education services. Drop in services such as parent and toddler groups, health clinics etc available.

Ash Green Children's Centre Stay & Play

Description: Big and Little Explorers Group - Stay and Play. The group is run by the local community for the local community and is supported by qualified staff. The group runs every Tuesday from 9am to 11am - term time only for 0-4 year olds and costs £1.60 per family. A snack and drink is also provided.

Asian Women's Advice and Support Group (AWAAS) (HX1 4NE)

Description: Help and support for local Asian women who live in isolation. It is an independently run group which represents the interest and welfare of isolated women residing in the Park Ward of Halifax. The group offers one to one support as well as activities such as poetry, creative arts, yoga and fundraising. The group aims to address self-esteem and confidence issues, combat loneliness and isolation, provide confidential advice and support and improve health and well-being.

Aspire Volunteer and Mentoring Service (HX1 5DW)

Description: Aspire Volunteer and Mentoring is a person centred service, empowering adults in Calderdale with a disability, physical or sensory impairment, learning difficulty, long term condition, and/or mental health issue, to realise their full potential and work towards achieving their personal goals. The service uses a partnership approach - matching mentors and mentees. the partnership involves listening, questioning and support. Mentoring has learning at its heart. As a mentee, the relationship would be primarily aimed at developing you and your progress. There are also fantastic opportunities for volunteers within the service - a chance to meet new people, make new friends and gain confidence, with a chance to use your individual talents and skills.

Babyballet Song and Dance Academy (HX1 1SP)

Description: Educational and innovative movement to music programme for boys and girls from 6 months. The Academy also provides a safe, welcoming and friendly environment with a coffee shop, interactive play area, dance shop and party facilities. Everything about the Academy relates to physical and mental development whilst having lots of fun! All classes must be booked in advance. Fully qualified friendly staff. Everybody welcome. This service is for children from 6 months to adults.

Description: Beat It music, dance and drama sessions for people with disabilities and mental health conditions are held on a weekly basis. The sessions are all inclusive and with the wide variety of instruments available anyone can take part. Accessible building, toilets and parking. Charges apply.

Better Living Service (HX3 0AQ)

Description: Better Living Service offers physical activities and healthy lifestyles courses that are specifically designed for certain groups of people. All our schemes are free of charge for the first twelve weeks, after which members can benefit from a price subsidy for certain Council Leisure Activities for a further 2 years. Fun physical activities include Dodgeball, Basketball, Athletics, Football, Rugby, Aerobics, Circuit, Cricket, dance and seasonal eg Christmas Disco. Family time includes Rounders, Ultimate Frisbee, family ball games, family fun games, traditional fun games.

Description: Providing a play area where parents and carers can bring their children to play on slides, rope swings, ball pools and climbing frames. Also football and basketball and have parties. Parents / carers can stay with their children.

Boogie Babes (HD6 3NF)

Description: A session of dance and fun with sing-a-long songs and exciting games. Boogie Babes activities are specifically tailored for babies and children of up to school age. We create a relaxed environment (for parents too!) and encourage kids to interact through songs, dancing and games. The programme has been specially designed to: improve co-ordination, encourage interaction with others, boost confidence, provide fitness and fun!
