Provides support, advice, information and advocacy for older people and their carers. Social activities, day care services, after hospital care, welfare benefits service, befriending, shopping and cleaning service, handyman service, Shopmobility service and sales of mobility and living aids. Description: Offer support to people of all ages across Calderdale who are affected by all types of dementia as well as their family, friends and carers. Dementia can affect anyone of any age from any part of the community. We offer information and advice in a safe confidential setting. Social events and the opportunity to meet people in a similar situation are also on offer. National Helpline is 0845 300 0336. Daffodil Café runs on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Maurice Jagger Centre, Halifax between 2pm and 4pm. A social group for those affected by dementia and their carers. Conerstone Café runs at the Civic Hall, Bradford Road, Brighouse every second and fourth Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm. Happy Café runs at Hebden Bridge Town Hall every second and fourth Friday between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Carers' Support group runs every third Thursday at 4th floor, 39-41 Commercial Street, Halifax, HX1 1BE between 1.00pm and 3.00pm. Carers' Support group runs every first Friday at Hebden Bridge Town Hall every first Friday between 10.30am and 12.00pm. Living with Dementia groups run every week on a Monday at Commercial Street between 10.30am and 12.00pm and every first and third Friday at Hebden Bridge Town Hall between 10.30am and 12.00pm. Arthritis Care - Halifax (HX1 1UZ)
Description: The group meets on the third Monday of every month and is open to anyone living with Arthritis, their partners, family and carers. Arthritis Care currently run six different courses for pain management. There is no charge for these courses either to members or non members. Description: The Children's Centre provides outstanding day care for children under the age of 5 years old and ensures the best learning environment and the highest expectations for children's long life-learning, achievement and happiness. The centre is community driven and works in partnership with a wide range of individuals, schools and agencies to provide a one-stop shop to health, adult learning, childcare and early education services. Aveta Home Birth Team (HX1 1UN)
Description: The Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has boosted its maternity services by launching the new Aveta Home Birthing Team. It is a 24 hour team of dedicated home birth midwives. The service provides bespoke support for mums-to-be who want to have their babies at home.

Description: BASH local is a Brighouse based charity but also supports its surrounding areas. We support homeless and vulnerably housed people in the local community via outreach and drop in sessions at the office. For an emergency food parcel call 01484 950506. Baby Adventures Stay and Play Group (HX2 9RL)
Description: Stay and Play Group - meet new friends, have fun playing with your baby, get advice and support in a safe and welcoming environment.
Description: Parent and toddler group with loads of fun; toys/activities vary and cater for all ages. Regular activities include sand or water play (sometimes both), craft activity, baking, imaginative play, dressing up and home corner. During the session, there is snack time and sing song to finish off.
Baby Café - Baby Ballet Centre (HX1 1QG)
Description: Baby café is a network of breastfeeding drop-ins. They aim to offer help and support to breastfeeding mothers at any stage in their breastfeeding journey, regardless of the age of the baby or child and no matter how much breastmilk you are giving. Pregnant women are welcome too, just to come along and find out about breastfeeding. You don't need to have a problem to attend - lots of mums come because they enjoy being in a group with other breastfeeding women chatting about their experiences.
Description: Learn Baby Massage in the comfort of your own home. This holistic treatment works with the mind, body and spirit of both the child and the person massaging the child. Qualified practitioner can offer support and advice. Charges apply. Can also provide sessions in a home based treatment room in Queensbury, Bradford.

Description: Songs, rhymes and early reading. Sessions also run at Hebden Bridge Library on Mondays between 11.00am - 11.40am and Brighouse Library on Tuesdays between 10.30am and 11.10am.
Description: Provides free confidential helpline offering support and information; information about police and court proceedings and domestic violence; therapy and counselling provided by qualified and trainee counsellors and therapists; groups for survivors. Jyoti provides specialist services for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women and girls including help line, face-to-face counselling, outreach counselling; advocacy and support drop-in services and sexual violence awareness workshops. Jyoti currently provides services in English, Mir Puri, Punjabi and Urdu.
