Calderdale's new Alcohol Strategy sets out a number of multiagency actions to ensure that 'Calderdale is a place where alcohol is used responsibly and causes no harm'.
The key objectives are to:
- Raise awareness of and promote safe levels of alcohol consumption
- Reduce alcohol related health problems, reduce the rate of alcohol admissions to hospital and promote recovery
- Reduce alcohol related crime and disorder
- Maintain a thriving and safe economy
- Better safeguard children and vulnerable adults from alcohol related harm.
