From Weaver to Web is one of many New
Opportunities Fund (NOF) digitisation projects being run at
this time. Along with Manchester
City Council, Blackburn
and Darwen and Leicester
City Council From Weaver to Web is part of a textile-related
regional consortium of projects entitled "Spinning
the Web".
It is our collective intention to work closely, share resources
where appropriate and also to construct a joint web site portal
from which to search and access all four projects via the Internet.
Locally, From Weaver to Web has a series of partner organisations
that have donated material, given copyright clearance or given
