A classic - and influential - slice of French black comedy, served with a short talk about mordant humour on film.

Auntie Danielle, supposedly in ailing health but in reality mean and spiteful, lives with a paid housekeeper who she regularly abuses. When the housekeeper dies falling off a
ladder, Danielle moves in with her great-nephew and his family, and continues tomanipulate everyone into doing things her way.
