Welcome to the Victoria theatre

Like many activities dependent on public funding, the arts have been hit hard in the recent spending review. The Victoria Theatre is no exception.

Over many years, we have been listening carefully to you, our customers, and have responded by improving the services at the Theatre. More comfortable seating, better front of house facilities, new sound and lighting systems and, most importantly of all, top class productions on stage.

The results from a survey that we sent out in 2010 to everyone on our mailing list showed us that more than 90% of you are satisfied or very satisfied with the Victoria Theatre. With this in mind, we are determined to preserve the high quality experience that you appreciate so much.

As a result, since 1 April 2011 we have introduced a £1 per ticket Theatre Support Fee. This decision is not one that we have taken lightly. The only alternative would have been to present fewer shows on fewer days: a step backwards which would undermine many of our achievements to date. The new fee will help us to safeguard our position and, apart from VAT, all the income will go towards maintaining and improving your experience at the Victoria Theatre.
