West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan 2006 - 2011

The West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan has been developed jointly by the five Local Authorities - Calderdale, Bradford, Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield - and the local transport authority Metro. It sets out a programme for a wide range of improvements to local transport over the next five years.

Priorities include:

• A more sustainable transport system with growth in use of alternatives to the private car;
• Improved accessibility to jobs and key services and facilities;
• Improved road safety.
