Travelling to school

Initiatives to make travel to school safer for children include the 'walking bus' scheme, development of school travel plans and promotion of school buses. The Council can also provide support to young people who need help to travel to school independently.

Speed limits

Calderdale Council is considering the best way of extending 20mph limits across Calderdale and we would like your views.

Speed Indicator Device (SID)

SID is a mobile speed indicator device designed to alert motorists of their speed by displaying a smiley face of approval or a sad face if the vehicle is going too fast.
