Parking permits
Off-peak permits
The permit will allow you to park in most of the Council car parks. A full list of applicable car parks and location maps are available from Parking Services on request. Alternatively they can be found on this web site in where to park.
Permits are valid from 4pm to 10am Monday to Friday and at all times at weekends (where charges apply).

If you change your vehicle please notify Parking Services immediately. You will be asked to complete a replacement permit application form. Please note, we are unable to replace your permit until your old permit has been returned to the Parking Office along with a completed application form.
The permit is only valid for use by vehicles whose registration numbers are displayed in the permit. You may choose to include details of two vehicles on the permit. However, whilst parked you must clearly display the permit on the front nearside of the vehicle's windscreen at all times. Failure to display a valid permit may result in a 'Penalty Charge Notice' being issued.
If the permit is defaced or altered in any way, the permit will be rendered invalid.
Parking spaces
The permit does not guarantee, nor does it reserve, a space in any of the Council's car parks.
Renewing your parking permit
Permits are not renewed automatically, it is the permit holder's responsibility to reapply for a new permit.
How to apply
You will need to complete and return an application form to Parking Services along with your payment. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit / credit card or postal order. Please apply at least seven days prior to expiry.
