Purple Patch Arts

A 'purple patch' is a time in your life when things are going well and you excel. We support adults with learning disabilities to find their 'purple patch' through the creative arts.

We run weekly workshops for adults with learning disabilities; a Lifelong Learning workshop on Fridays and a Feel Good workshop on Tuesdays at Orangebox in central Halifax.

At a Lifelong Learning workshop you’ll be invited to take part in lots of fun dance, drama, music, literature and visual arts activities. Lifelong Learning workshops help people to build their confidence, independence and develop social skills.

At a Feel Good workshop we use movement and art to help people stay healthy in their bodies and their minds. Feel Good promotes relaxation, positive thinking and self reflection.

Programmes start in September and run through until July every year.

The first two taster sessions are free, the cost thereafter is £35 per day for Lifelong Learning or £21 per day for Feel Good. To book your free taster session, please call or text 07725 041 801 or email info@purplepatcharts.org.

We look forward to inspiring your creative adventure!
