Workwise - Help getting into work
Workwise from Calderdale Council helps local people to get into work. We can give you advice that really suits you and your needs. We will help and support you at your own pace as you move from training and education into getting a job.
Workwise will provide you with your own adviser. The adviser will look at what you're good at, what you like to do and whether you need any more qualifications for the job you want to do.
Your adviser will support you as you work towards getting a job and make sure all your health and personal needs are met. We work closely with Jobcentre Plus and other organisations who help people to find a job.
Your employment adviser can help you with:
- Writing a C.V.
- Completing application forms
- Searching for jobs
- Learning interview skills.
Once you get a job, your adviser will keep in touch to make sure everything is okay and check that your employer understands your needs. Your advisor can also suggest any further training you or your employer may need to support you.
If you're claiming incapacity, sickness or disability benefits and would like to work but don't know where to start, Workwise can help.
There's more advice for you at Direct.gov to help you get a job. There are tips and links to where to find a job.
