Contact Family Services

Calderdale's Family Services Team is part of the Children and Young People's Services Directorate and is responsible for implementing the government's National Childcare Strategy at local level for children and young people aged 0-19 years.

The team has important working links with representatives from a variety of backgrounds such as health, social services, education, employers, voluntary groups, parents, employment services and childcare providers.

The Family Services Team is committed to developing quality, affordable and accessible early years and childcare services throughout Calderdale that offer diversity and choice.

Calderdale Families' Information Service (FIS) Helpline

The Families' Information Service helps parents and young people aged 0-20 with many types of enquiry.  They have a wide range of information and advice on issues about being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, achieving economic wellbeing and more.
