Looked after children
Children's rights
Children being looked after by the Council, up to age 18, can talk to a Children’s Rights worker. Barnardo’s provides this service for the Council, so that the Council does not directly employ the worker.

Complaints and compliments
You can complain to us if you feel the quality of social care service you receive is poor, if you do not agree with a decision we make that affects you or someone you provide care for, or if you have not received a social care service you feel you should have. We suggest you talk to a member of staff you usually work with first, they may be able to sort out a problem quickly and easily.
It doesn't matter where you live, at home or in accommodation, if your social care service has been arranged by us you can complain to us first. We'll tell you if your complaint has to be considered using another provider's procedures, eg National Health Service.
If you feel we have done well, you can tell us that too. Compliments provide us with valuable information about our services.
