Childcare Counts
Introduction

The Families' Information Service is carrying out a survey to evaluate our supply of childcare and to talk to parents about their experiences of using childcare.
We want to find out what you think about childcare in terms of
- availability (are there enough places of the right type for your children?)
- accessibility (are the places in the right area and are they open at the right time?)
- affordability (do the places cost too much and do you have enough information about additional financial help?
- quality (do the places offer a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for your children?)
We will also be surveying our major employers and all of our childcare providers to establish a full picture of childcare demand and supply in Calderdale. The results of the survey will be due out in March 2011.
If you would like to take part in this year’s Childcare Sufficiency Assessment you can download the parents’ survey here.
