Twin towns

Roncq

Roncq (population 12,000+) is a small, pleasant town in semi-rural surroundings just 3km from the border with Belgium, close to the Lille-Tourcoing-Roubaix conurbation. The journey, by coach and short channel crossing, takes less than 12 hours.

Industrially, it has much in common with Todmorden, the bulk of its traditional textile base on replaced by a variety of modern manufacturing industries. The flat landscape contrasts sharply with our Pennine hills, but otherwise our outlooks are the same - enjoy! A plaque and flowerbed by Todmorden Bus Station celebrates our close links.
