This exciting centre, located next to the Hebden Bridge Picture House, is home to the Tourist Information Centre and Canal Centre.

The Canal Centre tells the story of the Rochdale Canal with particular emphasis on the section which runs through Calderdale. There is a mix of textual displays, models and simple interactive features suitable for visitors and local people of all ages.

Description

Situated in the centre of the small, yet bustling ex-mill town of Hebden Bridge, the Hebden Bridge Visitor and Canal Centre has a warm welcome for residents and visitors alike.

The wide range of other services offered include:

• Information about holidays and short breaks in the UK, days out and places to visit.
• Accommodation booking service including telephone booking service for credit card holders.
• Information about local and national events. Tickets for many of the local events can be purchased here.
• Theatre bookings for Bradford’s Alhambra and St Georges Hall, and the Victoria Theatre, Halifax.
• Bus and train information.
• Sale of Passport to Leisure.
• Sale of a wide variety of maps and books about Calderdale and the surrounding area, including town trails, walking, cycling, horse riding, historical and local interest guides.

Publications

The Calderdale Visitor Guide contains a wealth of useful information such as where to stay, where to eat, attractions in the area and more.
