Sports development

Sports specific development work

Activity and Community Development has a number of staff offering support and assistance in the development of selected sports throughout Calderdale.

The sports included are those being developed generally across all five local authorities in West Yorkshire and are showcased at “The West Yorkshire Youth Games” which takes place annually at the end of June.

The six sports that we currently work with and the points of contact are –

• Athletics - Tony Scargill
• Girls Football - Colin Crowther
• Hockey - Dawn Treanor
• Netball - Dawn Treanor
• Rugby Union - Adele Robinson
• Tennis - Paul Kendall.
