Support for clubs and coaches

Community Sports Leaders Award

Do you want to develop your coaching skills?

Activity and Community Development organise a good selection of courses, including the Community Sports Leader Award (CSLA).

There are usually two to three CSLA courses each year. They are held at selected venues throughout Calderdale. They give an ideal introduction to sports leadership for individuals working with existing groups or for people wishing to develop a career in sport / coaching.

The course includes:

• Organisational skills
• Events and Competitions
• Safety in Sport
• Improvisation of Activities
• Know Your Friends
• Games and Voluntary Experience
• Fitness for Sport
• Ten hours Voluntary Leadership.
