Support for clubs and coaches

Sports clubs

Activity and Community Development has a comprehensive directory of sports clubs and organisations throughout Calderdale.

The directory is used to give assistance to people who require information on where a particular sport is played, what clubs are open for membership, who to contact at the club, and so on.

A working document, information is given in good faith as we are reliant on clubs keeping us abreast of any changes.

A club registration scheme will be undertaken, with the intention to rank clubs on their facilities, the opportunities available and the policies and procedures that they have in place. The latter is especially important with junior sports clubs where particular attention is paid to issues such as Child Protection, Health and Safety and Coach Education. Clubs are actively encouraged to join the Club Registration Scheme.
