It takes skill and nerves of steel

Are you brave enough to take on our brand new pool inflatable? It takes skill, nerves of steel, concentration, balance, co-ordination and determination to get to the other side. PoolView System in the Main Pool

As part of our commitment to customer safety a PoolView underwater CCTV has been installed in the diving pit at Halifax Swimming Pool.

The system comprises of 4 underwater CCTV cameras. The cameras monitor activity beneath the surface of the water and feed the views directly to a screen on the lifeguard chair. This allows lifeguards to quickly detect anyone in difficulty in the diving pit, even if they are at the bottom of the pool.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is in use throughout Calderdale and a code of practice ensures that data protection principles are complied with.
