Community and education venues
The Health and Physical Activity Team hold weekly exercise classes at various community venues throughout Calderdale. Classes include Exercise to Music, Gentle Exercise, Circuit sessions and Tai Chi; all designed to increase your physical activity in a fun and friendly environment.
In addition, there are several schools and gyms with facilities available for community use:

Brooksbank School Sports College|

All the facilities at the school are available for use to the community when they are not being used by students and staff. Opening times vary depending on the time of year and the school events that take place throughout the year.
As a specialist sports college we have excellent sports facilities that we can make available to the community at competitive rates. Full changing and showering facilities are also available on-site. We are also able to hire out other areas of school when they are not being used by the students and staff.

Community Leisure Link, Halifax High School
Various activities at Halifax High School are available to the community. Evening activities include Athletics, archery, badminton, basketball, coaching sessions, cricket, fitness suite, fitness class, gymnastics, football, school holiday programme, hockey, netball, rugby.

The Healthy Living Gym is based at the Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre. It has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and offers a range of modern equipment, qualified instructors, and female-only and male-only sessions.
