Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi is the world's most popular martial art, although now mostly used to benefit health.
It involves a system of gentle exercises that strengthens while conditioning tendons and ligaments, increasing their range of motion, making them more resilient and less prone to injury. The constant weight shifts train balance and body awareness, leading to confident ease of movement.
Tai Chi can be practiced by anyone regardless of age and fitness level.
The warm up is an important part of the class to reduce the risk of injury, so please arrive on time.
Please inform the instructor if you have any injuries or medical conditions, or if your medical condition changes.
Participants must be 14 years and over.
Correct footwear and unrestrictive clothing must be worn.
Classes can be booked 8 days in advance.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking via your online account or contact the relevant site before the class is due to start so your place can be re-issued.
Failure to turn up to, or cancel, a pre booked class may result in your booking privileges being removed.
Due to unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary for a site to change or even cancel a class at short notice. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.
