Three Becks from Norwood Green (Coley, Red and Bottom)
Meet Jan and Chris Buckley by the War Memorial, Village Street, Norwood Green (off the A58) at 10.30 for a 7 mile walk with a few ups and downs.

Thursday 8th September
Bat Walk and Talk
Meet Hugh Firman and Robin Dalton at 19.00 outside Holywell Green J & I School (HX4 9AE) for a talk in the school followed by a walk round Shaw Park to look for bats. Donations welcome to West Yorkshire Bat Group.

Friday 9th September
Copley and Plenty of Nature Sites
A walk from Halifax town centre out to visit many of the local wildlife sites around south Halifax and Sowerby Bridge - including Norland Moor. Approx 4miles. Some hills and stiles. Meet at Halifax Train station at 10.00.

A Tour with Anne Lister for Heritage Open Weekend
Meet at Shibden Hall, Halifax ((HX3 6XG) for a tour of the Hall and grounds at Shibden, to find out more about Anne Lister and her fascinating life. Tour starts at 14.00. Adults only please. Free for Heritage Open Weekend.

Shadows of Shibden - A Walk into the Countryside of the Past
Meet Iain Cameron on North Bridge, Halifax at 10.30 for a 7 mile walk to Horley Green, Shibden Valley and Beacon Hill. Walks ends at Halifax Minster. Walk includes some steady climbs. For more information, please telephone 01422 368976.

Calderdale Way 5
Meet at Chris Sutcliffe at 10.30 outside Ripponden Parish Church to follow the Calderdale Way over hills to Withens Clough reservoir then return via a WW2 relic. 12 miles.

Wednesday 21st September
Up and Down the Luddenden Valley
Meet Chris Sutcliffe at 10.30 on the bridge over the River Calder in Luddenden Foot for a 9 mile walk around the Luddenden Valley, some steep climbs involved but worth it for the views.

Mystery Trip and Walk
An all day trip which includes a walk outside Yorkshire, with activities for those who might not want to walk, available at the site for a charge. Booking is essential for this trip. Saturday 24th September
A Walk to Shibden! - New Path Over to Shibden Hall
A series of walks led by the Shibden Estate rangers, starting at various points but always ending in the Shibden cafe for soup, sandwiches and a drink! Meet by the Parish Church gates, Halifax (Halifax Minster) at 11.00. Walk will last approximately 1.5 hours and is aimed at adults. Routes will allow for public transport back to the start where necessary. Booking Essential. Calderdale Way 6
Meet Jefferson Hammond at 10.30 outside Todmorden Hall for a 10 mile walk that take us over to Withens Clough before returning via the Calderdale Way through Lumbutts to Todmorden.

Friday 30th September
Stoodley Glen to the Top (including a Fungas Foray)
Meet Steve Blacksmith from Halifax Scientific Society at 11.00 at the bottom of Stoodley Glen, Holmcoat Bridge, Eastwood, near Todmorden (grid reference SD965254) for a 2 mile walk looking at autumn fungi and two rare native crab apple trees. Donations welcome to Halifax Scientific Society.
