A competition is held annually for the best-kept plot and allotment site in Calderdale. This is judged to the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners (NSALG) standards by representatives of the Calderdale Leisure Gardeners Federation.

This years judging took place on 25th, 26th and 27th July 2011. Please contact the Leisure Gardeners Federation for more information or email parks@calderdale.gov.uk.

The awards evening for the competition winners will be held in association with the Pennine Housing 2000 Garden Competition at Arden Social Club in Halifax on Wednesday 28th September 2011.
