Last entry: 45 minutes before closing.

Admission charges (unless for special events)

Set in 90 acres of rolling parkland with a range of attractions including woodland, walks, an orienteering course, children’s rides, miniature railway, pitch and putt and a boating lake, Shibden is the perfect venue for a family day out. How to get there

Shibden Estate is located on the A58 Leeds / Bradford Road (Godley Lane), to the east of Halifax town centre.

Shibden Estate is accessible by bus numbers 681, 682, 548, 549, 509, 534, 227, 508, 226 from the Halifax, Bradford, Brighouse, Huddersfield and Leeds bus stations.

It is approximately 20 minutes walk (uphill) from Halifax town centre bus station and 25 minutes from the train station. It is also a 20-minute car ride from the M62 motorway.

Car parking

Pay and Display parking charges apply at all Shibden Park car parks:

The Museum car park at the rear of the hall is reserved for Permit Holders and Disabled Badge Holders.

Annual Permits can be purchased, please contact the Shibden Hall and Estate Manager (01422 352246) for further information.

Blue badge holders will continue to benefit from free parking.
