Sonja Andrew
7 June - 28 September

This small installation is part of a research study on viewer perceptions of textiles by Sonja Andrew. Her work combines digital printing and screen printing with appliqué and stitch, to create image-based narrative panels. The information gathered from the research will be used to inform methods for designing textiles for public spaces, which other designers and organisations can use, and for teaching purposes with undergraduate and postgraduate design students. Sonja is a printed textile designer and part-time lecturer at the University of Manchester and is also undertaking a PhD in ‘textiles as communication’ at Central St. Martins, University of the Arts, London.
