Statues and monuments

Introduction

The Cenotaph, snow covered, near Halifax Parish Church Memorials throughout Calderdale are testament to the effects of war on the local population, particularly in the twentieth century. A notable example is the Cenotaph, close to Halifax Parish Church.

Statues commemorating the lives of significant individuals include the once-controversial Prince Albert Statue in Skircoat, Halifax.
