19th Century Newspapers

A wide range of newspapers from 19th Century Britain, offering a wealth of articles, reports, adverts and much more. The Leeds Mercury specifically covers the Calderdale area but local reports can also be found by searching across all publications.

When using the resource:

• in a Calderdale library the site will appear automatically;
• at home, follow the link and enter the word calderdale followed by your Calderdale library card number in the box which appears. Then select 'Proceed'.
