Newspapers
A number of local newspapers are held on microfilm, the earliest dating from 1801. The Halifax Evening Courier and its predecessor, the Halifax Guardian, are available from 1832 to the present day. Microfilm of the Brighouse Echo, Hebden Bridge Times and Todmorden News and Advertiser are held at the relevant District Library as well as the Central Library, Halifax. Copies of pages may be obtained for a small fee, A4 copies are priced at 55p and A3 copies 80p.
