Maps
The Local Studies section in the Central Reference Library, Halifax has a collection of maps available for researchers. These mainly cover Calderdale but some relate to the wider Yorkshire area. As well as those listed below there are Parish Register maps which give the date of commencement of registers for parishes formed before 1832, covering part of the West Riding of Yorkshire and also Geological Maps.
Brighouse, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden and Sowerby Bridge Libraries also have small collections of historical maps relevant to their areas.
A number of maps in the collection have been digitised as part of the website supported by the Big Lottery Fund From Weaver to Web: online visual archive of Calderdale history|
